Employment Type: Full-Time Contract (6-9 months, with potential for extension)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
Pay Range: $33.25 - $35.25 per hour

Job Overview

We are actively seeking a Certified Dental Lab Technician to join our team at a correctional facility in Vacaville, CA. This is a full-time contract role with the opportunity for temp-to-perm conversion into a state position with full benefits.

Key Responsibilities

• Construct, repair, and adjust dental prosthetics (dentures, bite blocks, occlusal stints, etc.) per dentist instructions
• Accurately interpret dental prosthetic prescriptions
• Track, receive, and ship prosthetic cases across CDCR institutions
• Maintain inventory of dental lab supplies and ensure secure storage of hazardous materials
• Implement tool control and safety protocols daily
• Stay up to date with dental prosthetic materials, equipment, and industry practices
• Communicate effectively with dentists and healthcare staff

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent (within the last 2 years) dental lab experience
• Certification: Valid CDT (Certified Dental Technician) license from the National Board for Certification in Dental Laboratory Technology
• BLS Certification: Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Identification: Valid photo ID, Drivers License, or Passport required
