Hourly Rate: $30.00 - $47.00 (based on experience)

Job Overview:

As a Registered Nurse in Special Procedures, you will be responsible for preoperative and postoperative assessments, intra-procedural monitoring, and assisting providers in delivering exceptional care. This role involves working with diverse medical procedures including but not limited to gastroenterology, pulmonology, and procedures involving conscious sedation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preoperative and postoperative assessment, patient care, and procedural assistance.
  • Provide education and reassurance to patients and families regarding their procedures.
  • Assist with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including conscious sedation, pain management, bronchoscopy, and minor surgery.
  • Implement care strategies based on individualized patient plans.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient progress toward treatment goals, reporting data and outcomes to the healthcare team.
  • Actively participate in ongoing clinical variance monitoring and assist with maintaining accurate patient records and charge documentation.
  • Handle patient phone calls for education and reassurance as needed.
  • Take after-hours call as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Education: ADN (Associate Degree in Nursing) - Required
  • Certifications:
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) within 90 days of hire
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification within 90 days of hire
  • Experience in Gastroenterology, Pulmonology, and Conscious Sedation is preferred but not required.
