- Shift Start Time: 07:00 PM
- Shift End Time: 07:00 AM
Compensation:
- Minimum Rate Per Hour: $27.72
- Maximum Rate Per Hour: $39.60
- Sign-On Bonus: $20,000
Available Shifts:
- Days (Rotating Weekends): 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- Nights (Rotating Weekends): 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Observation Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care in the Observation Unit, working closely with the medical providers and the healthcare team. You will deliver comprehensive and compassionate care, following established nursing models, and ensure an outstanding patient experience with positive clinical outcomes. This position offers a $20,000 sign-on bonus.
Essential Functions:
- Assess patient conditions during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
- Perform procedures, monitoring, and other functions as ordered by medical providers, ensuring thorough and timely documentation of care in the patient's medical record.
- Administer prescribed medications, monitor patient responses, and take appropriate actions in case of unintended responses.
- Provide exceptional care by promptly responding to patient requests, proactively anticipating needs, and resolving any issues.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, side effects, and follow-up care, translating complex medical terminology into understandable language.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of recent RN experience. While acute care experience is strongly preferred, experience in LTAC (Long-Term Acute Care) will also be considered.:
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida or ability to obtain licensure prior to start.:
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred, required within 6 months of hire.:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
