Job Title: Surgical Solutions Technician

Location: Grand Rapids, MI

Positions Available:

  • 1 Technician (Daytime shifts)
  • 1 Overnight Technician (Must be available M-F 7p-7a)

Pay:

  • Starting at $19.80 per hour with the potential to increase to $21.00 per hour after 120 days, contingent upon manager evaluation and attainment of CRCST certification.
  • Potential for higher starting rate based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as an integral part of the OR/SPD team, excelling in the preparation and execution of surgical procedures.
  • Uphold stringent sterile practices to ensure patient safety and efficient procedural flow.
  • Manage and maintain surgical instruments and equipment, ensuring they are ready for operations.
  • Collaborate effectively with hospital staff and team members to deliver exceptional support and service.
  • Take responsibility for the cleaning, disinfection, and proper maintenance of surgical instruments.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GED required; additional technical training or education is preferred.
  • CRCST certification not required at hire but must be obtained within 120 days of employment.
  • Proven ability to work in a demanding and fast-paced environment.
  • Must reside within 30 minutes of the hospital to ensure rapid on-call availability.
  • Availability for varied shifts and rotational weekend call shifts is essential.
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.

Additional Requirements for Overnight Technician:

  • Must be available for overnight shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, Monday through Friday. Post-completion of assigned tasks, the technician will be "on-call" until 7 AM.
  • Availability during daytime hours for approximately 2 months for training.
