Position Title: Radiation Therapist

Shift Information:
- Shift Length: 8-hour shifts, days

- On-call Requirement: As needed
- Holiday Requirement: As needed
Start Date: ASAP (onboarding process takes approximately 5-8 weeks)
Compensation:
- Base Hourly Pay: $40.08 - $64.13, based on years of experience
- Sign-On Bonus: Two-year completion bonus incentive

Job Responsibilities:
As a Radiation Therapist, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Performing radiation therapy treatments by following and verifying referring providers' orders. Utilizing independent judgment and applying learned methodologies according to established policies and procedures.
- Educating patients and their families regarding the procedures and/or treatments to be performed. Demonstrating professional behavior and conduct in all interactions, fostering teamwork, efficient use of resources, and quality patient outcomes.
- Operating treatment and treatment planning equipment, including simulation, in accordance with departmental policies. Preparing treatments and administering prescribed doses in line with established policies. Ensuring accurate and thorough documentation is prepared and maintained.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in acute care.
- Licensure: Must hold or be able to obtain an Alaska state license prior to starting.
- Certification: BLS (Basic Life Support), ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
