Shift Times: Monday to Thursday 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM, Friday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Saturday 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Sign-On Bonus: $3,000
Full License: $54,171 to $73,281/year
Limited License: $52,026 to $68,659.50/year
Overview:
Crisis Therapists provide essential mental health support for adults (18+) with serious mental illness and/or co-occurring substance use disorders. These professionals intervene during psychiatric emergencies, coordinate ongoing care, and help patients transition back into community-based services. This role is highly collaborative, integrating community outreach, clinical assessment, and intensive case management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings and comprehensive assessments to identify service needs and preferences
- Deliver in-person and telehealth crisis intervention and safety planning
- Facilitate aftercare planning and transition support for recently discharged patients
- Coordinate with providers, hospitals, and the treatment team
- Participate in on-call telehealth coverage in collaboration with law enforcement partners
- Assist with transportation and linkages to services and entitlements
- Document all service interactions and maintain productivity standards
- Provide outreach to re-engage or initiate care with at-risk individuals
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology
- Licensure: Must hold or be eligible for State of Michigan licensure (LMSW, LLMSW, LPC, LLPC, LLP, etc.)
- Experience: Clinical experience with adults experiencing psychiatric emergencies preferred
- Other: Must be comfortable with field-based work and providing telehealth services
