Hourly: $28.85 - $33.65

Annually: $60,000 - $70,000 (based on licensure)

Job Overview:

Therapist III to provide specialized mental health and/or alcohol and drug services at our Residential Treatment facility. This role involves conducting mental health assessments, developing individualized service plans (ISP), and delivering individual and group therapy. You will work closely with a diverse population, ensuring culturally competent care, and will help clients navigate mental health, substance use, and crisis intervention services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive mental health and/or substance use assessments and provide diagnosis.
  • Develop and maintain individualized service plans (ISPs) for assigned clients, ensuring regular review and adjustment of treatment plans based on progress.
  • Provide direct client services, including individual and group therapy, adhering to the programs treatment model.
  • Facilitate communication between clients and their families, offering support for physical, mental health, and substance abuse needs.
  • Assist clients with referrals to external services, including mental health and addiction resources, transportation, and social services.
  • Work with mens or womens residential treatment programs as needed.
  • Participate in crisis intervention and safety planning for clients in urgent situations.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, primary care physicians, probation officers, and community mental health providers to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Meet productivity standards for client services and maintain fidelity to program rules.
  • Supervise student interns as necessary, supporting their educational development.
  • Write and advocate for successful ASAM reports with Managed Care Organizations to obtain treatment authorization.
  • Attend meetings, supervision, and in-service trainings.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field required.
  • Licensure:
  • Must hold one of the following: LISW, LPCC, LICDC, or IMFT (Independent license preferred).
  • Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience required, including experience working with addiction and mental illness.
  • Certifications:
  • First Aid and CPR certification required (as needed per program requirements).
  • Skills:
  • Fluent in Spanish and English (both written and spoken).
  • Strong understanding of addiction and mental health disorders.
  • Experience working with diverse populations, including those with criminal justice involvement.
  • Strong computer skills with familiarity in Microsoft Office and EMR systems (Avatar preferred).
