Location: Fort Worth, TX

Shift: Variable shifts (Monday - Friday, 8 hours per day)

Schedule: 5 Shifts Per Week (40 Hours)

Salary Range: $33 - $48 per hour

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cardiac Sonographer II to join our team in Fort Worth, TX. In this full-time position, you will work variable shifts, Monday through Friday, performing advanced cardiac ultrasound procedures. The role also requires night and weekend on-call responsibilities, which includes 6 nights per month of on-call duty and two weekend days every six weeks. Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for echocardiographic procedures, obtaining relevant clinical history and adapting imaging techniques for diagnostic accuracy.
  • Perform a range of cardiac ultrasound procedures, utilizing advanced equipment and ensuring high-quality results.
  • Identify and define cardiac abnormalities, adjusting the scope of the examination as necessary and correlating test results with cardiac anatomy and function.
  • Assist physicians in the procedure rooms and operating rooms by conducting echocardiographs during complex procedures.
  • Perform and assist in transesophageal studies, calculating appropriate measurements and sterilizing probes.
  • Maintain the Echocardiography Lab, including equipment upkeep, troubleshooting, and reporting malfunctions.
  • Act as a resource for other staff, providing guidance on equipment, techniques, and protocols to optimize patient care.
  • Collaborate with the cardiac sonographer quality coordinator to ensure adherence to quality standards and assist with ICAEL accreditation activities.
  • Stay updated with evolving technologies and ensure implementation of system echocardiography standards.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited program or 2+ years of cardiac sonography experience in lieu of formal education.
  • Must hold one of the following certifications:
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through Cardio Credentialing International (CCI)
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (must be obtained within 30 days of hire).
  • Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and sonographic principles.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare providers.
  • Knowledge of clinical protocols, infection control procedures, and patient confidentiality regulations.
