Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room
Location: Fort Walton Beach, FL
Shift: 12-Hour Days (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
Schedule: 3 Shifts Per Week (36 Hours)
Salary Range: $27.72 - $39.60 per hour
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic Emergency Room RN to join our dedicated team. In this fast-paced role, you will provide essential nursing care to a diverse range of patients, from minor injuries to critically ill individuals. The ideal candidate is a quick thinker, effective decision-maker, and multitasker, ready to adapt to the challenges of an emergency care environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Triage, assess, and treat patients of all ages presenting with a wide range of injuries and illnesses, from minor to critical conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, prescribing strategies to attain expected outcomes.
- Provide follow-up care instructions and make necessary referrals for patients after discharge.
- Coordinate care with physicians, departments, and healthcare staff, maintaining a focus on patient safety and care quality.
- Manage multiple patient cases simultaneously, prioritizing needs as they arise.
- Maintain clear communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team, ensuring patients understand their care and follow-up instructions.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of recent acute care nursing experience (within the last 3 years); trauma experience preferred.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida or ability to obtain licensure prior to start.
- Associate Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (must be obtained within 30 days of employment).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (must be obtained within 90 days of employment).
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification (must be obtained within 90 days of employment).
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (must be obtained within 90 days of employment).
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification (must be obtained within 60 months of employment).
- Trauma experience.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Strong communication, multitasking, and critical thinking skills.
