Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac ICU

Location: Dallas, TX

Shift: 12-Hour Night Shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), 3 Shifts Per Week, 36 Scheduled Hours

Salary Range: $32.00 - $53.00 per hour, based on experience

Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 for candidates with 2+ years of experience

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Cardiac ICU team. You will play a vital role in providing comprehensive care to patients with complex cardiac conditions, including post-cardiology interventional and post-vascular surgical patients. This role is part of a Cardiac Universal Bed (CUB) unit, where nurses care for both ICU and telemetry patients. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed clinical assessments and prioritize patient and family needs
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans to achieve optimal patient outcomes
  • Monitor and interpret critical care data, including telemetry and vital signs, to detect abnormal trends
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
  • Educate patients and families about their health conditions and provide follow-up care instructions
  • Adhere to nursing protocols, hospital policies, and regulatory standards to ensure patient safety
  • Document patient care and assessments accurately in electronic medical records
  • Actively contribute to continuous improvement efforts in the unit

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (must obtain within 30 days of hire)
  • Minimum of 1-year recent, full-time ICU RN experience (required)
  • Cardiac ICU and/or Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) experience preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse teams and patient populations
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office
