Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
Location: Waco, TX
Shift: 12 HR Nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
Shifts Per Week: 3
Scheduled Hours: 36 hours per week
Hourly Rate: $32 - $53
Job Overview:
As a Registered Nurse (RN) on the Progressive Care Unit, you will play a critical role in managing patient care using a professional practice model. You will conduct assessments, recognize health issues, develop care plans, and assess patient responses to treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough clinical assessments and prioritize patient and family needs.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate care plans to ensure patient needs are met.
- Build therapeutic relationships with patients and families, managing both emotional and physical discomfort.
- Educate patients, families, and the healthcare team on best care practices, empowering them with knowledge for informed decision-making.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create integrated care plans, delegating tasks and following up as needed.
- Utilize problem-solving strategies to address patient care issues, prioritizing safety and efficiency.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong understanding of nursing and patient care standards and procedures.
- Knowledge of nursing laws, rules, and regulations, as well as hospital policies.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and electronic medical documentation.

Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- A current and valid nursing license.
- BLS certification (must be obtained within 30 days of starting).
