Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Surg
Location: Round Rock, TX
Shift: 12-Hour Day Shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM), 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week
Salary Range: $32 - $53 per hour (based on experience)
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical-Surgical department in a full-time day shift role. As an RN, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide exceptional patient care. You will assess patient conditions, develop care plans, and ensure positive patient outcomes by closely monitoring their progress. You will play a key role in providing quality care in a supportive, patient-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients and develop individualized care plans.
- Monitor patient health status and adjust care plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to ensure coordinated care delivery.
- Educate patients and families about ongoing care needs, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
- Document all patient care activities and outcomes in the electronic medical record system accurately and timely.
- Prioritize patient needs and safety, ensuring adherence to hospital policies and best practices.
- Maintain a therapeutic and professional relationship with patients and their families, ensuring comfort and trust.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current and valid RN license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willing to obtain within 30 days of hire).
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
