Location: College Station, TX
Shift: 12-Hour Night Shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week
Salary Range: $36 - $45.11 per hour (based on experience)
Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our dedicated team. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional respiratory care, partnering with physicians and healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This full-time night shift position provides you with opportunities for professional growth and development in a supportive and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform and direct the administration of respiratory care services, including oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, inhaled medication, airway clearance, invasive and non-invasive ventilation, and bedside spirometry.
- Collaborate with attending physicians and care teams to deliver high-quality care in accordance with established procedures.
- Administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation in emergency situations.
- Adhere to established infection control, isolation policies, and HIPAA regulations.
- Engage professionally with patients and peers to create a positive work environment.
- Identify and implement continuous quality improvement opportunities to enhance patient care.
Qualifications:
- Associates degree or 2 years of relevant experience above the minimum qualification.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willing to obtain within 30 days of hire).
- Licensed by the State of Texas Medical Board as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP).
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- General knowledge of respiratory care modalities, therapies, equipment, and medications.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
