Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) -Medical Telemetry

Location: Temple, Texas

Shift: 12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)

Shifts Per Week: 3

Scheduled Hours: 36 hours per week

Hourly Rate: $32 - $53

Job Overview:

We are seeking skilled and compassionate Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our Medical Telemetry Unit. This 38-bed unit offers a rich learning environment with a variety of medical diagnoses and comorbidities, providing you with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients' lives. Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and assess patients with conditions such as sepsis, chest pain, and GI abnormalities.
  • Provide care for patients requiring isolation or admission to negative airflow rooms.
  • Administer diagnostic procedures, including thoracentesis, lumbar puncture, central line placement, and pacemaker insertions.
  • Manage cardiac monitoring for patients with chest pain or arrhythmias.
  • Perform enteral feeding tube insertion and maintenance, as well as nasogastric tube care.
  • Collaborate with a highly engaged team and supportive management to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in a robust Unit-Based Council to enhance patient outcomes and nursing practices.
  • Educate patients and their families about care plans and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Current and valid nursing license.
  • BLS certification required within 30 days of starting.
  • Previous experience in telemetry or critical care nursing is preferred but not mandatory.
