Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Acute Care
Location: Waco, TX
Shift: 12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM 7:00 AM)
Schedule: 3 Shifts Per Week, 36 Hours
Hourly Pay: $32 - $53
Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Acute Care team. You will play a vital role in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team. You will also be responsible for administering prescribed medications, educating patients, and recording medical information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Consult with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Administer medications orally, subcutaneously, or through IV, and record prescribed medications.
- Monitor for and report any adverse reactions to medications or treatments.
- Educate patients on surgical procedures and their health management.
- Record patients medical information and vital signs.
- Develop and adjust care plans to meet desired patient outcomes.
- Build therapeutic relationships with patients and their families while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Educate patients, families, and community members on healthcare choices.
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team, delegating tasks and ensuring timely follow-up.
- Utilize problem-solving strategies and ensure safety, effectiveness, and efficiency in patient care planning and delivery.
- Contribute to a positive team environment and support community service initiatives.

Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Specialized field of study in nursing.
- Current and valid RN license.
- Must have BLS certification or obtain it within 30 days of hire.
