Shifts Per Week: 3
Scheduled Hours: 36 hours per week
Shift Duration: 12 hours
Hourly Rate: $30.04 to $41.50, depending on experience and qualifications
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Care unit. This unit specializes in providing care for patients recovering from open-heart surgeries, heart catheterization with stent placement, ablations, pacemaker/AICD placement, cardiovascular surgeries, and stroke/STEMI care. As a Cardiac Care RN, you will play a crucial role in supporting patients through their recovery in a dynamic, fast-paced, and team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and provide patient care under the direction of the Director, Manager, or Nurse Manager.
- Assume individual responsibility and accountability for delivering nursing care, following hospital policies, applicable state Nursing Practice Acts, and ANA Standards of Practice.
- Care for post-operative cardiac patients and those recovering from cardiovascular procedures, including open-heart surgeries, stent placements, ablations, and pacemaker/AICD placements.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of acute care cardiac nursing experience or similar.
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current RN licensure in the state of Missouri.
- BLS certification required at the time of hire and must be maintained.
- ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.
- Basic computer skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Previous clinical experience preferred but not required.
