Job Summary:
Join our team as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Neuro ICU, where you will provide care for high-acuity patients, including non-trauma neurosurgical cases, strokes, specialized spine surgeries, neurovascular surgeries, and seizures. Our 15-bed unit is a Certified Comprehensive Stroke facility, offering patient ratios of 1:2. You'll be part of a supportive environment with access to onsite nurse practitioners, stroke coordinators, and educators. Our leadership team is committed to hands-on support and fostering an environment of continuous learning and professional development.
Neuro ICU Overview:
- Patient Population: Non-trauma neurosurgical patients, strokes, specialized spine, neurovascular surgeries, and seizures.
- Patient Ratios: 1:2
- Department Specifics: 15 Beds, Certified Comprehensive Stroke facility, Unit-based practice council, Onsite nurse practitioners, stroke coordinators, and educator. Leadership team with "all hands-on deck."
What You Will Do:
- Provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment for Neuro ICU patients.
- Collaborate with an inter-professional team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and their families.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to the units continuous improvement initiatives.
Registered Nurse Requirements:
- Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program.
- License/Certification:
- RN Registered Nurse with Neuro ICU Experience.
- BLS Basic Life Support (required within 30 days of hire).
