Location: Kissimmee, Florida

Salary: $35.54 - $46 per hour, depending on experience

Shift Details:

  • Shift: 12-Hour Days (Rotating Weekends)
  • Days Per Week: 3
  • Total Hours Per Week: 36
  • Shift Start Time: 07:00 AM
  • Shift End Time: 07:00 PM

Job Description:

As a CNC, you will be accountable for the clinical and operational functions of the unit during your designated shift, stepping in for the Nursing Director when necessary. You will be a part of a highly skilled team that works collaboratively to provide exceptional care to our patients. This role requires strong leadership, clinical expertise, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care and coordinate all functions within the unit during your shift.
  • Collaborate with the management team to direct, monitor, and evaluate nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Serve as a resource for staff and model a commitment to the organizations vision, mission, and values.
  • Oversee and coordinate patient placement within the unit based on acuity, skill mix, and staff availability.
  • Identify and address the educational needs of the unit, providing guidance and support to staff.
  • Participate in patient care conferences, focusing on discharge planning and patient care needs.
  • Conduct rounds with physicians and keep informed of any changes in patient conditions, making appropriate clinical decisions.
  • Ensure that all orders are appropriate and carried out in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care Charge Nurse experience in Open Heart (CVOR) required.
  • Active Florida RN license or approved multistate RN license.
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification required within 30 days of hire.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Associate Degree, or Nursing Diploma.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required before the start date.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 6 months of hire.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within 6 months of hire.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required within 30 days of hire.
