Job Title: Intake Therapist - Adult Behavioral Health
Location: Southgate, MI
Salary:

• Fully Licensed: $28.90-$38.89/hour
• Limited License: $26.68-$35.91/hour

Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM (Some evenings/weekends required)

Job Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate Intake Therapist to conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for adults, adolescents, and children. This requires strong engagement and assessment skills to help individuals access appropriate behavioral health services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct intake assessments and complete documentation within 48 hours
• Use motivational interviewing to assess needs and preferences
• Provide accurate information about services and initiate treatment planning
• Develop safety plans and coordinate referrals as needed
• Participate in team meetings, clinical supervision, and audits
• Maintain productivity standards and complete required training

Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling
• Active State of Michigan licensure (LMSW, LLMSW, LPC, LLPC, etc.)
• Minimum 1 year of post-masters experience with adults with severe mental illness
• CAADC credential or MCBAP Development Plan within 6 weeks of hire
• Must obtain QMHP and QIDP credentials within 120 days of hire
• Strong interpersonal, documentation, and organizational skills
• Cultural competence and sensitivity to diverse populations
