Job Title: Medical Assistant

Location: Elk River, MN

Hours: 56 hours per pay period

Shift Type: Varied

Hourly Rate: $22.23 to $27.37 (based on experience)

Annual Salary Equivalent: $41,600 to $54,080

Overview:

This role supports patient care flow at the Elk River Urgent Care Clinic and assists providers with the care of a wide age range of patientsinfants to geriatrics. Tasks fall under a scope of practice defined by Blaze Health and state licensing boards, and include delegated clinical and clerical responsibilities to optimize care delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Care:

• Perform standard rooming processes
• Administer immunizations, injections, and medications
• Collect lab specimens and perform tests
• Conduct phlebotomy and x-ray (if certified)
• Support prescription refills and communication with patients

Clinic Support:

• Provide check-in/front desk coverage
• Assist with supply ordering, stocking, and prior authorizations
• Collaborate with RN, provider, and management to meet clinic goals

Compliance & Competency:

• Uphold privacy and compliance standards (HIPAA, NMH Code of Conduct)
• Maintain and upgrade skillsets as required by Blaze Health
• Participate in education, reporting, and improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

• CMA/RMA certification required
• Experience working in a fast-paced clinic setting preferred
• Must demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating within a team
