Hourly Rate: $32.95 to $48.42, depending on experience and qualifications
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate CT Technologist to join our imaging team. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for producing high-quality CT images while ensuring patient safety and comfort. You will work closely with radiologists to assist in diagnostic and interventional procedures, including the administration of contrast agents. Key Responsibilities:
- Obtain high-quality CT images following established scanning protocols and make adjustments as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety guidelines for both patient and self, and utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriately.
- Operate CT scanner safely and competently while ensuring proper charges are entered and referring physicians orders are verified.
- Provide professional, courteous patient care throughout the procedure.
- Prepare examination rooms for CT scans and invasive procedures, maintain cleanliness, and monitor supply inventory.
- Assist radiologists in administering medications, contrast agents, performing biopsies, and providing care to patients.
- Review exams for technical accuracy and complete the verification process in PACS.
- Assist with PACS clean-up tasks such as verifying unarchived images and reporting unspecified images.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient and employee information according to HIPAA policies.
- Complete and maintain personal educational requirements as mandated by the ARRT for licensure.
Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
- Licensure/Certification:
- American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) certification required.
- ARRT CT Technology Certification required within 6 months of hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required.
- Preferred: One year of experience as a CT Technologist.
- New graduates will be considered.
