Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac Acute Care
Location: Round Rock, TX
Shift: Full-Time, 12-Hour Night Shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), 3 Shifts Per Week (36 Hours Total)
Salary Range: $32 - $53 per hour, based on experience
Job Overview:
We are seeking skilled and compassionate Registered Nurses to join our expanding Acute Care Cardiac Unit in Round Rock, Texas. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a growing team and make a significant impact on patient care as we prepare for the 2025 hospital expansion. As an RN in the Cardiac Unit, you will provide comprehensive care to patients with acute cardiac conditions, ensuring they receive the highest standard of care through effective assessments, care planning, and collaboration with the healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough patient assessments, identifying and addressing health issues specific to acute cardiac care
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans to meet patient needs
- Administer medications, monitor patient responses, and adjust care plans as necessary
- Educate patients and their families on cardiac conditions, treatment options, and recovery strategies
- Collaborate with physicians, care teams, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated and patient-centered care
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with hospital standards and regulations
- Ensure patient safety and well-being by following best practices and safety protocols
- Participate in continuous quality improvement efforts and contribute to a positive work environment
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required within 30 days of hire)
- Strong understanding of nursing and patient care standards, particularly in cardiac care
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team and collaborate with a diverse group of healthcare professionals
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and basic computer skills
