Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Acute Care
Location: Waco, TX
Shift: 12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM 7:00 AM)
Schedule: 3 Shifts Per Week, 36 Hours
Hourly Pay: $32 - $53
Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for our Acute Care unit. You will play an essential role in providing patient care by conducting thorough assessments, developing care plans, and educating patients and their families. As an RN, you will monitor patient conditions, adjust care plans as needed, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed clinical assessments, prioritize patient needs, and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Educate patients and families on healthcare management, including surgical procedures and post-treatment care.
- Record and document patient medical information, including vital signs and responses to treatment.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
- Delegate tasks to team members and follow up on care provided.
- Use problem-solving strategies to ensure patient safety and efficient care delivery.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with patients and their families, offering emotional and physical support.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Active and valid RN license.
- BLS certification or ability to obtain it within 30 days of starting the role.
- Strong knowledge of nursing and patient care standards, hospital policies, and relevant laws.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Effective problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
