Job Title: Echocardiography Technician

Location: Jacksonville, TX

Shift: 8 HR Days (7:00 AM - 3:00 PM)

Shifts Per Week: 5

Scheduled Hours: 40

Hourly Rate: $37.98 per hour

Job Overview:

The Echocardiography Technician will perform ultrasound procedures to assist in diagnosing and treating heart disease in patients of all ages. This role includes utilizing advanced imaging modalities for cardiac diagnostics and is subject to overtime and call back as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform echocardiography procedures to aid in the diagnosis of heart conditions.
  • Prepare and position patients for ultrasound examinations while explaining the procedure.
  • Use imaging technology to capture high-quality diagnostic images of the heart.
  • Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to evaluate results.
  • Maintain and operate ultrasound equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and patient records are maintained.
  • Follow all hospital policies and ICAEL standards for echocardiography.
  • Be available for call-back and overtime as required by hospital operations.

Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Currently enrolled or graduated from a second-year allied health Echocardiography program.
  • Eligible for Echo Registry as per ICAEL standards.
  • CPR Certified Basic Life Support (BLS) or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
  • Must obtain Echo registry certification (RDCS or RCS) within six (6) months of hire.

Qualifications:

  • Allied Health degree in Cardiac Ultrasound.
  • Minimum of 1 year of patient care experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience performing echocardiography studies.
