Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a CT Technologist to join our Radiology team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Computed Tomography (CT) and will be responsible for performing a variety of CT imaging procedures. This full-time position offers a competitive salary based on experience and an opportunity to grow within a supportive healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality CT scans as per physician orders and established protocols.
- Ensure patient safety by following radiation safety guidelines.
- Prepare patients for CT procedures, explaining the process and answering questions to ensure their comfort and understanding.
- Evaluate CT images for technical quality and accuracy before submission to the Radiologist for interpretation.
- Maintain CT equipment to ensure it is functioning properly and report any issues to the appropriate department.
- Collaborate with Radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.
- Adhere to infection control standards and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Document procedures and maintain accurate patient records.
Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency in CT scanning procedures and equipment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a healthcare team.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Licensed or eligible to obtain a state license as a CT Technologist.
- Prior experience working as a CT Technologist is preferred.
