Job Title: General Surgical Technologist
Location: Norman, Oklahoma
Salary Range: $17.39/hour - $28.40/hour (dependent on previous work experience)
Job Overview:
As a General Surgical Technologist, you will be an integral part of the surgical team, assisting surgeons during operative procedures and ensuring a sterile and safe environment in the Operating Room. You will work with a dedicated preceptor through an extensive orientation to become proficient in all surgical service lines. This position is ideal for someone passionate about patient care and dedicated to working in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the surgeon during operative procedures, maintaining a sterile and safe environment.
- Ensure the Operating Room is properly set up for each procedure, including instruments and equipment.
- Participate in maintaining aseptic technique and adhere to sterilization standards.
- Support the surgical team by anticipating needs and ensuring smooth workflow.
- Help orient new Surgical Technologists to the department and various service lines.
- Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program or five (5) consecutive years of training/experience as a Surgical Technologist Required
- Recent clinical experience as a CST/Surgical Technologist Required
- National Certification Highly Preferred
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Required
- Certified Surgical Technologist must have current certification Required
- If applicable, a current Oklahoma LPN license Required
