Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Circulator CVOR
Location: Charleston, South Carolina
Shift: 12-Hour Day Shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM), Rotating Weekends
On-Call Requirement: 8-10 Call Shifts Every 4 Weeks (Mon-Fri are 12-hour shifts, Weekends are 24-hour shifts)
Shifts Per Week: 3
Scheduled Hours: 36 hours per week
Hourly Rate: $32 - $47 per hour
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled CVOR Registered Nurse Circulator to join our dynamic surgical team. You will provide professional surgical nursing care to patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures, working closely with other members of the heart team, including surgeons, surgical technologists, and other registered nurses. As an integral member of the surgical team, you will ensure the highest level of patient care throughout the perioperative process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in both emergency procedures and elective/scheduled cardiovascular cases.
- Work collaboratively with surgical teams to provide optimal patient care.
- Serve as a liaison between the surgical team and the patient's family to communicate updates and concerns.
- Organize and manage the supplies and equipment necessary for cardiovascular surgeries.
- Assess patients before, during, and after surgery, ensuring that a sterile operating environment is maintained.
- Perform counting procedures to prevent retained surgical items and verify correct site, side, and level of surgery.
- Administer medications in accordance with physician orders and monitor patient responses.
- Involve patients or designated family members in decisions regarding post-operative care and recovery plans.

Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing (Associates Degree or higher required).
- License/Certification:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or an active Compact/Multi-State RN license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-year experience in CVOR nursing is required.
