Shift Hours: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Shift Per Week: 3 shifts (36 hours per week)
Salary Range: $31.00 - $53.00 per hour
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse Charge for our NICU unit. In this crucial role, you will oversee patient care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, ensuring that nursing practices align with our organization's mission and regulatory standards. As a leader within the healthcare team, you will be responsible for evaluating patients, identifying nursing diagnoses, creating individualized care plans, and assessing patient responses to treatment. Your expertise will contribute to the well-being of our smallest and most vulnerable patients, making a significant impact on their lives and the lives of their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize nursing judgment and clinical reasoning to conduct precise health assessments of neonatal patients, ensuring adherence to standard practices.
- Monitor and evaluate nursing procedures, implementing evidence-based changes as necessary.
- Demonstrate caring practices by addressing both the emotional and physical discomfort of patients, fostering healing, and preventing unnecessary distress.
- Lead and support the NICU team in delivering high-quality patient care, ensuring that all team members are aligned with the organizations priorities and mission.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to provide clear, compassionate, and accurate information.
- Engage in continuous problem-solving and critical thinking to address challenges in patient care and unit operations.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited nursing program.
- At least 2 years of experience in a NICU or relevant nursing field.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (must be obtained within 30 days of being hired).
- Strong understanding of nursing and patient care protocols and practices.
- Proven communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills.
