Job Title: RN Manager - Labor and Delivery

Location: Houston, TX

Schedule: Nights, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM (5 shifts/week, including weekends)

Hourly Rate: $45 - $58/hr (based heavily on experience)

Sign-On Bonus: Evaluated case-by-case

Relocation Assistance: Case-by-case basis

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Labor and Delivery Nurse Manager to lead a high-volume L&D unit at a premier womens healthcare facility. This role requires strong leadership in clinical operations, staff development, and patient-centered care. The ideal candidate will have recent acute care leadership experience in L&D and a deep understanding of best practices in maternal and newborn care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate all nursing activities within the Labor and Delivery unit (15-20 beds).
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and clinical guidance to nursing staff to ensure safe and quality care.
  • Monitor and analyze patient outcomes, staffing, and operational efficiency.
  • Partner with the Director of Women's Services to implement initiatives that enhance clinical performance and patient satisfaction.
  • Support performance improvement, staff education, and competency development.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Texas RN license required.
  • 3-5 years of recent acute care L&D leadership experience required (within the last year).
  • Bachelors Degree in Nursing required.

Certifications:

  • BLS (required)
  • NRP within 6 months of hire
  • AWHONN Fetal Monitoring within 6 months of hire
  • ACLS preferred (especially for cross-coverage in PACU, OR, ICU, or triage areas)
