Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Radiographer (X-ray Tech) to perform a full range of general radiology procedures, including portable imaging, fluoroscopy, operating room, trauma, contrast studies, and DEXA bone densitometry in a digital/PACS environment. The Radiographer will operate X-ray equipment in both hospital/trauma and outpatient settings, ensuring the highest quality imaging while maintaining patient safety. This position requires adaptability to schedule changes, including call shifts and holiday coverage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a wide range of general radiology procedures, including portable, fluoroscopy, and trauma imaging in a digital/PACS environment.
- Operate X-ray equipment in both hospital/trauma and outpatient settings.
- Confirm patient identity, exam orders, and obtain high-quality images while minimizing radiation exposure.
- Enter exams in Meditech, ensuring all special exam instructions or stat procedures are followed appropriately.
- Maintain compliance with exposure to ionizing radiation and ensure patient safety.
- Participate in the department's Quality Improvement process and adhere to organizational policies.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of recent acute care Radiologic Technologist experience (within the last 1-2 years).
- Graduate of an ARRT-accredited program.
- Current ARRT registry certification required.
- Florida certification required.
