Shift Times: 12:30 PM - 11:00 PM (Second Shift, Sunday-Wednesday)
Hours/Week: 40 hours (10-hour shifts)
Job Overview:
We are seeking a Radiologic Technologist to provide X-Ray and EKG services to various healthcare facilities such as nursing homes and miscellaneous healthcare centers. This position involves using portable radiographic equipment, ensuring safe transport, and performing diagnostic exams under physician orders. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a dynamic and flexible role in medical imaging.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform X-ray exams using portable digital (DR) or computed (CR) radiography equipment.
- Transport and unload X-ray equipment at various healthcare facilities and ensure safe handling.
- Obtain clinically diagnostic, technically competent X-ray images and transmit them to a Radiologist for interpretation.
- Perform EKGs as required and transmit results to a Cardiologist for interpretation.
- Ensure all paperwork, billing documents, and images are scanned and submitted according to protocols.
- Communicate effectively with peers, management, dispatch department, and clients regarding patient care and diagnostic procedures.
Physical Demands:
- The position requires pushing and pulling equipment that may weigh between 50-100 lbs.
- Use of vehicle ramps and pulleys reduces this weight; however, force may be applied 16 to 24 times per day.
Qualifications:
- Certifications:
- ARRT Certification required.
- Licensure:
- Active Radiologic Technologist license in the State of Massachusetts required.
- Limited licenses are not accepted.
- Other Requirements:
- Valid drivers license in good standing.
- Must be able to comply with COVID-19 vaccination requirements, or provide documentation for an exemption.
