Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Oncology ICU

Location: Dallas, TX

Shift: 12 HR Nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)

Shifts Per Week: 3

Scheduled Hours: 36 Hours

Hourly Rate: $32 - $53 per hour

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Bone Marrow Transplant Oncology Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for full-time night shifts. This position offers the opportunity to work with critically ill oncology patients, including Bone Marrow Transplant recipients and patients undergoing advanced treatments such as Chimeric Antigen Receptor T-Cells (CAR-T). You will be part of a dedicated, multidisciplinary team providing exceptional care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill oncology patients, including those receiving bone marrow transplants and other specialized treatments.
  • Conduct thorough clinical assessments, develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and therapies in accordance with care plans and physician orders.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, pharmacists, and social workers, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Actively participate in unit-based councils and shared governance to promote evidence-based practices and innovations in nursing care.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, ensuring they are informed and comfortable with their treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with hospital policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • 1+ year of RN experience in the US required.
  • 2+ years of ICU experience required (must have worked in an ICU within the last year).
  • 2+ years of Oncology experience highly preferred.
  • Bone Marrow Transplant experience is highly desired.
  • Must have a current and valid nursing license.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required within 30 days of hire.
