Job Title: Cardiac Sonographer Echo Lab

Location: College Station, TX

Shift: 8-Hour Day Shifts (7:00 AM - 3:00 PM), 5 shifts per week, 40 hours per week

Salary Range: $27 - $37 per hour (based on experience)

Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 sign-on bonus plus relocation assistance available.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cardiac Sonographer to join our Echo Lab team. In this role, you will perform a wide range of cardiac ultrasound procedures, including both outpatient and inpatient transthoracic studies, stress echoes, strain imaging, and more. You will assist in complex cardiac procedures and work closely with physicians to provide the highest level of patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform basic to advanced cardiac ultrasound procedures, including adult, pediatric, and neonatal studies, stress echoes, strain imaging, and more.
  • Assist with complex procedures such as TAVR, PFO closures, LAAO, and TEEs.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, obtain clinical history, and adjust imaging techniques as necessary for optimal results.
  • Process and sterilize high-level disinfection probes.
  • Maintain and report statistics, perform daily equipment maintenance, and ensure lab functionality.
  • Serve as a resource to staff, physicians, and students on equipment, techniques, and studies.
  • Ensure quality processes are followed and assist with IAC accreditation as needed.
  • Stay up to date with new technologies and implement system echocardiography standards.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited program or 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willing to obtain within 30 days of hire).
  • Must obtain one of the following certifications within 6 months of hire: Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS).
  • Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, sonographic principles, and infection control procedures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and physicians.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology and sonography equipment.
