Position Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Surg

Position Overview:

Under the direction of Providers, the Acute Care Director, and Charge Nurse, the Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering patient care by utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. The nurse collaborates with other healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care delivery and the achievement of desired outcomes. This role involves caring for pediatric and adult patients before and after surgical procedures, as well as managing a broad range of medical conditions. The Registered Nurse also provides direction to LPNs, CNAs, Housekeeping Staff, and Dietary Staff, while receiving guidance from Providers, the Acute Care Director, Charge Nurse, and Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care for pediatric and adult patients, including pre- and post-surgical care.
  • Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes.
  • Provide leadership and direction to LPNs, CNAs, and support staff.
  • Follow established protocols and professional standards in delivering care.

Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited RN nursing program, required.

Experience:

  • No minimum experience required.
  • Med/Surgical nursing experience preferred.
  • Pediatric nursing experience preferred.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Current Montana RN Licensure, required.
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (must be obtained within 6 months of hire).

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Proficiency in basic nursing principles and procedures.
  • Basic office and IV skills.
