  • Shift End Time: 07:00 AM

Compensation

  • Minimum Rate Per Hour: $26.05
  • Maximum Rate Per Hour: $33.59
  • Sign-On Bonus: $15,000

Position Summary

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) will coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care. As a crucial member of the patient care team, the RRT will perform a variety of diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures while monitoring patients receiving invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation. This role requires adherence to the specific requirements of the department and the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform and document patient assessments, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure.
  • Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate the need for and response to respiratory therapy.
  • Administer respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy.
  • Assist with the placement of artificial airways and the initiation, monitoring, and maintenance of mechanical ventilation.
  • Monitor patients for therapeutic responses and intervene as necessary.
  • Assist with the transportation of ventilator-dependent patients.
  • Respond to emergent patient situations, ensuring airway integrity and adequate ventilation during resuscitation.

Qualifications

  • 1 year of RRT experience (Experience in acute, LTAC, or other settings is acceptable)
  • Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy
  • State licensed Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support (must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date)
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date)
  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date)
  • NRP - Neonate Resuscitate (must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date)
