Job Summary

As a Registered Nurse, you will oversee patient care provided by the healthcare team using a professional practice model. Your responsibilities include patient assessment, recognizing health issues, creating care plans, and assessing patient responses.

What Youll Do

  • Conduct detailed clinical assessments and prioritize patient and family needs.
  • Create, implement, and evaluate care plans, adjusting them to reach desired outcomes.
  • Build relationships and manage patient discomfort while maintaining professionalism.
  • Educate patients, families, and community members to empower them with knowledge for better healthcare choices.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a care plan, delegate tasks carefully, and follow up promptly.
  • Utilize different strategies for problem-solving, prioritizing safety, effectiveness, and efficiency in patient care planning and delivery.
  • Achieve goals through teamwork, recognize contributions, and commit to growth.

What Will Make You Successful In The Role

  • Deep understanding of nursing and patient care standards and procedures.
  • Knowledge of nursing laws, rules, standards, and guidelines.
  • Proficiency in medical terms, focusing on health, disease prevention, management, and common medications.
  • Respect for medical and professional nursing ethics and patient privacy rights.
  • Exceptional communication skills, allowing for clear expression of thoughts both verbally and in writing.
  • Positive social skills to facilitate interactions with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities, driving effective critical thinking.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, information security, scheduling and payroll systems, electronic medical documentation, and email.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an Accredited Program
  • Specialized field of study in nursing
  • A current and valid nursing license
  • BLS certification (must be obtained within 30 days of starting)
