Hours/Day: 8
Shift Notes: Monday through Friday, full-time staff must work at least 4 hours after 5:00 PM each week. Required to provide 23 hours of billable service per week.
Salary: $62,536 - $84,610 (based on experience; range from new grad to 16+ years) Incentive pay available
Sign-On Bonus: $3,000
Job Overview:
As an IDD Psychologist, you will provide specialized psychological services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role involves conducting psychological evaluations, developing treatment plans, providing counseling, and offering crisis intervention. You will also work closely with families and other staff to ensure holistic care for those served.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological evaluations and interpret results for individuals and families.
- Provide direct counseling and behavior modification plans.
- Develop treatment goals and case service plans using Person-Centered Planning.
- Offer crisis intervention and work closely with care teams for seamless care coordination.
- Train and consult with staff on the specific needs of consumers.
- Maintain all required documentation and complete assessments such as Integrated Biopsychosocials.
- Participate in staff in-services and assist with program-related duties as needed.
- Complete 24 hours of program-specific training annually.
Requirements:
- Masters degree in Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Valid Temporary Limited Licensed Psychologist (TLLP) or Limited Licensed Psychologist (LLP) in Michigan.
- 8 months of experience working with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
- 1 year of experience in the evaluation and treatment of minors and their families.
- Ability to obtain Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP) and Childrens Mental Health Professional (CMHP) credentials within 120 days of hire.
- Must pass MDHHS Central Registry and Police clearance.
- Familiarity with assessment tools like WAIS, WISC, Vineland, ADOS, and ADIR is preferred.
