Job Title: Physical Therapist
Location: Tyler, Texas
Shift: 8-Hour Days (7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, 5 shifts per week, 40 hours total)
Hourly Pay Rate: Up to $45.96/hour
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Inpatient Physical Therapist to join our Rehabilitation Department. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, and providing therapeutic interventions to help patients regain physical functionality. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care and help patients meet their recovery goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a full range of age-appropriate physical therapy services, including assessments, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions.
- Evaluate and assess patients' physical therapy needs based on medical records, tests, and assessments, developing individualized care plans.
- Formulate written functional goals, treatment plans, and home programs for patients and their families.
- Deliver treatment based on established goals and reassess patients' progress, adjusting plans as necessary.
- Instruct and educate patients and their families on appropriate activities, utilizing both verbal and written programs.
- Document evaluations and treatment progress in the medical record and maintain required patient records.
- Communicate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive interdisciplinary care.
- Participate in continuing education and training to maintain the required standards of care.
Qualifications:
- Education:High School diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy degree program.
- Experience:At least one year of clinical experience preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, active listening, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, manage time efficiently, and work in a team-oriented environment.
- Licensure/Certification:Licensed Physical Therapist in the State of Texas.
- CPR certification required.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be in good health and able to complete a physical fitness assessment.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent bending, stooping, crouching, walking, pushing, pulling, and standing.
