Job Title: Ophthalmology Surgical Tech
Location: Peoria, IL
Salary: Up to $29.00/hour
Shift: Full-time | Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM-3:00 PM | No nights, weekends, or major holidays

Job Overview:

We are hiring two Ophthalmology Surgical Techs to support eye surgery procedures at a multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center. While the focus is on ophthalmology, cross-training into other specialties is expected. Certification is not required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare OR and sterile instrument setups for ophthalmic procedures
• Assist surgeons during surgery by passing instruments, maintaining inventory, and holding retractors
• Follow strict aseptic and sterile techniques
• Clean, process, and sterilize surgical instruments per protocols
• Provide patient care appropriate to ages 6 months through adult
• Demonstrate competency in fewer than five surgical specialties (cross-training provided)
• Follow departmental policies and collaborate with surgical teams

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Surgical Tech - Required
• Experience with ophthalmology procedures - Strongly Preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, sterile surgical environment
• Strong understanding of surgical protocols and instrument handling
• Completion of a Surgical Tech program - Preferred
