Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room
Location: Temple, TX
Shift: 12 HR Nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
Shifts Per Week: 3
Scheduled Hours: 36 hours per week
Hourly Rate: $32 - $53 per hour
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our busy Level One Emergency Department. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and work closely with a dynamic team to provide exceptional care. This ER handles a wide range of high-acuity cases, including certified Chest Pain and Stroke Center protocols.
As part of a team-oriented culture, you will have opportunities to participate in shared governance, department committees, and improvement projects aimed at enhancing patient outcomes. This role primarily focuses on adult populations but also includes care for pediatric patients as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed patient assessments, create and implement care plans, and evaluate patient responses.
- Perform emergency nursing procedures following established guidelines, including Stroke and STEMI activations.
- Collaborate with the ED team, including physicians, social workers, and registration staff, to deliver comprehensive care.
- Provide education to patients and their families about treatments and healthcare choices.
- Participate in unit-based projects, shared governance, and department councils to contribute to department improvements.
- Maintain clinical documentation and ensure accurate patient records in electronic medical systems.
- Effectively prioritize and delegate tasks in collaboration with team members to ensure efficient care delivery.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program.
- Current and valid nursing license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain within 30 days of hire.
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department RN experience required.
