Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat patients with physical, emotional, cognitive, and/or psychosocial deficits. You will be responsible for assessing patients' abilities to perform daily living activities safely and effectively, creating tailored treatment plans, and providing essential education to both patients and caregivers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patients' abilities to perform independent living skills safely and effectively.
- Design and implement individualized treatment plans based on the patients specific needs, using appropriate therapy modalities.
- Monitor and document patient progress, modifying treatment plans as needed.
- Consult with other healthcare professionals when necessary to provide optimal patient care.
- Educate patients and their families/caregivers about the patients condition and how to best support their recovery.
- Plan for patient discharge, ensuring the appropriate use of adaptive equipment and access to support programs.
- Oversee the care provided by certified occupational therapy assistants and therapy technicians, ensuring compliance with regulations and practice standards.
- Maintain accurate medical records, daily charges, and personnel attendance records.

Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Occupational Therapy
- National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
- Licensed by the Texas Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners (TBOTE)
- Certification through the American Heart Association
Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy
- Two (2) years of experience as an Occupational Therapist
