Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will work under the direction of a physician to safely prepare, administer, and manage radioactive materials for the diagnosis and treatment of human diseases. The technologist will also ensure the safe storage and disposal of radioactive materials, prepare correct dosages, and operate nuclear instruments. This role involves working closely with the medical team to prepare diagnostic information for physician analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and administer radioactive materials for nuclear medicine procedures.
- Operate nuclear imaging equipment to obtain images for diagnostic purposes.
- Ensure the safe storage, handling, and disposal of radioactive materials in compliance with safety regulations.
- Monitor patient conditions during and after the procedure, ensuring comfort and safety.
- Prepare detailed reports based on imaging results for physician review.
- Follow hospital protocols, maintaining safety standards for radiation exposure.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to support patient diagnosis and treatment.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support - AHA): Required.
- Nuclear Medicine Certification: ARRT (N) or CNMT required.
- Experience:
- 1-2 years of post-certification experience in nuclear medicine required.
- Licensure:
- Active New Hampshire Nuclear Medicine License required at time of submission.
