Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor and Delivery

Location: Round Rock, Texas

Shift: 12-Hour Night Shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week

Salary Range: $32 - $53 per hour (based on experience)

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) unit. As an RN on the night shift, you will provide comprehensive care to patients throughout the childbirth process. Your responsibilities will include managing laboring patients, delivering care to postpartum mothers and newborns, and offering support and education to families. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments for laboring mothers and postpartum patients, monitoring fetal and maternal health.
  • Develop individualized care plans for patients, adjusting them based on evolving clinical needs.
  • Assist in the labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum processes, ensuring safe and effective care throughout all stages.
  • Provide postpartum care to both mothers and newborns, educating families on postnatal care and newborn safety.
  • Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and provide interventions as necessary to support patient health.
  • Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and healthcare team members to provide a seamless continuum of care.
  • Document patient care and assessments in the electronic medical record accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Foster a safe and supportive environment for patients and their families, addressing concerns and providing compassionate care.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire).
  • Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a focus on patient-centered care.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
