Our client is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician to join their healthcare team. This role ensures that medical equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and safe for patient care. The ideal candidate will have technical expertise in biomedical equipment management, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance, inspections, and repairs on biomedical equipment to ensure compliance with safety and performance standards.
• Install and calibrate new medical equipment, ensuring proper configuration and functionality.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance and document all services in the equipment database.
• Collaborate with clinical staff and Materials Management personnel to obtain necessary parts, supplies, and equipment.
• Train healthcare personnel on the proper use and care of medical devices.
• Maintain meticulous records of repairs, calibrations, and maintenance schedules.
• Work within department policies and adhere to regulatory compliance standards.

Qualifications:

• Education: Associates Degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology or Electronics.
• Experience: Open to candidates with varying experience levels.
• Certification: Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) is recommended but not required.
• Strong technical troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift equipment up to 100 lbs and perform physical tasks such as kneeling, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
