Shift: 12-Hour Days (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM), Full-Time, No Weekends
Shifts Per Week: 3
Scheduled Hours: 36 hours per week
Hourly Rate: $38.48 per hour
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly-skilled and compassionate Cath Lab Technologist to join our team in Anchorage, AK. In this role, you will assist with all invasive cardiac, vascular, and interventional procedures. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality of care for our patients, demonstrating clinical competency, nursing judgment, and teaching skills. As part of a dedicated team, you will contribute to a collaborative, patient-centered care environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform testing and therapeutic procedures in the Cath Lab, including but not limited to: cardiac catheterizations, coronary interventions, EP device and ablation therapies, interventional radiology, neuro diagnostic/interventions, endovascular procedures, and structural heart procedures (LAAC, TAVR).
- Facilitate effective communication among staff, ensuring a collaborative approach to patient care using the SBAR communication model.
- Assist patients throughout the entire procedure process, from transport to site preparation, sterile procedures, patient monitoring, and post-procedure care.
- Manage emergent cases and ensure accurate, timely documentation and patient records.
- Demonstrate flexibility and organization, especially in high-stress situations.
- Collaborate with team members and provide orientation as needed.
Qualifications:
- Certifications:
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS/BCLS) certification.
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (required within six months of hire).
- Preferred Certifications:
- Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) or Registered Radiographer (ARRT).
- Experience:
- 4 years of Cath Lab/Interventional Radiology (IR) experience strongly preferred.
- Experience scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating is required.
- Open to reviewing CVOR/CST candidates with strong Vascular/IR experience.
- No mapping experience required (performed by a third-party company).
