Salary: $31.91/hour - $45.94/hour (dependent upon experience)
Job Overview:
We are urgently seeking a compassionate and skilled Med/Surg Registered Nurse to join our team. This RN position operates under the supervision of the unit Supervisor/Manager/Director and is responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The role requires strong clinical skills, patient-centered care, and leadership in directing ancillary personnel.
The Med/Surg RN ensures the highest standard of professional nursing is maintained, contributing to the overall patient and family experience. This role requires flexibility, accessibility, and a collaborative approach to patient care, with a focus on superior service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess physical, psychological, social, and educational needs of patients on admission.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans within 24 hours of admission.
- Provide emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and their families, fostering a compassionate environment.
- Promote patient independence by teaching about condition, medications, and self-care skills.
- Ensure quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards, patient goals, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve patient problems and meet care needs.
- Follow infection-control policies, medication administration procedures, and safety protocols.
- Document patient care, communicate with teams, and ensure continuity of care among nursing staff and physicians.
- Lead, delegate, and evaluate team members to ensure optimal patient care.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to travel independently within healthcare facilities.
- Standing/walking for extended periods; assist with patient movement and care.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds to support patient care.
- Push/pull equipment and patient transport, exerting up to 100 pounds of force.
- Full manual dexterity and ability to respond quickly in emergencies.

Certification Requirements:
