Job Title: Radiologic Technologist Student - PRN

Location: Temple, Texas

Shift: Variable Shifts, 8, 10, or 12 hours per day

Hourly Pay Rate: $33/hour

Scheduled Hours: 40 hours per week, 4 shifts per week

Job Overview:

The Radiologic Technologist Student works under the general supervision of a certified Radiology Technologist, assisting in patient care and performing support functions for radiology exams. This role includes the preparation of patients for imaging procedures, inventory and supply management, and cleaning of imaging rooms between patients. This is a PRN (as-needed) position with flexibility in shift scheduling and a variable work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for radiology exams, explaining procedures and providing comfort and answers to any questions.
  • Assist technologists, nurses, and physicians with procedures, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Operate imaging equipment under supervision and ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of all equipment.
  • Screen individuals entering the department following safety protocols and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  • Monitor patient conditions during procedures, seeking assistance when needed.
  • Assist in maintaining proper inventory of supplies and report any equipment issues to management.
  • Ensure the safety of the work environment by wearing personal monitoring devices and following radiation safety protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
  • Experience: Less than 1 year of related experience.
  • Certifications/License:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire or transfer.
