  • Minimum Rate Per Hour: $26.05
  • Maximum Rate Per Hour: $33.59

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a vital member of the patient care team, the Respiratory Therapist will coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care. You will perform diagnostic tests, therapeutic procedures, and monitor patients receiving invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation, ensuring compliance with department standards and state regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform and document patient assessments, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure.
  • Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate the need for and response to respiratory therapy.
  • Administer respiratory care therapies, such as oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy.
  • Assist with the placement of artificial airways and initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation.
  • Monitor patient responses to therapies and intervene as appropriate in the event of unintended responses.
  • Assist with the transportation of ventilator-dependent patients.
  • Respond to emergent situations, ensuring airway integrity and adequate ventilation during resuscitation as required.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 1 year of RRT experience (experience in acute care, LTAC, or other settings is acceptable).
  • Education: Associate Degree in Respiratory.
  • Licensure: State licensed Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
  • Certifications:
  • BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) within 30 days of employment start date.
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) within 30 days of employment start date.
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) within 30 days of employment start date.
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) within 60 days of employment start date.
