Work Schedule:
- Shift: 8-hour days, Monday to Friday.
- Days Per Week: 5.
- Scheduled Hours: 40 hours per week.
- Shift Start Time: 08:00 AM.
- Shift End Time: 05:00 PM.
Compensation:
- Minimum Rate Per Hour: $36
- Maximum Rate Per Hour: $52
- Sign-On Bonus: $5,000
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Radiation Therapist II to join our team. This full-time position offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus and is ideal for a Radiation Therapist with at least two years of experience. You will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality radiation therapy procedures and providing exceptional care to our patients in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Essential Functions:
- Perform high-quality radiation therapy procedures according to exam protocols, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of care.
- Utilize AIDET communication framework to identify patient service requirements, ensure correct exams are performed, and establish rapport with patients and their families.
- Prepare patients for procedures by positioning them appropriately, adjusting immobilization devices, and setting exposure factors on equipment.
- Protect patients and staff by adhering to safety protocols, infection control measures, and radiation safety guidelines.
- Operate treatment machines (TrueBeam) and conduct CT simulations with proficiency.
- Assist the Supervisor with scheduling, time management, and staffing functions; assume managerial responsibilities in the absence of the Supervisor.
- Serve as an informal department leader, mentoring and training new hire therapists and serving as a Clinical Supervisor for radiation therapy students.
- Participate in and lead departmental huddles and committees, contributing to a positive and collaborative departmental culture.
- Assist in maintaining clinical supply inventory and ensuring efficient departmental operations.

- Up-to-date knowledge and skills in caring for patients across various age groups, including newborns, pediatrics, young adults, adults, and geriatrics.
- Ability to serve as a preceptor, providing quality training to new team members and on new services and initiatives.
- Flexibility to take call, if required.

Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma/GED Equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist.
- Certification/License/Registration:
- Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy (ARRT-T).
