Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - PCU/IMC
Location: Albuquerque, NM
Shift: 12-Hour Nights, 3 Shifts Per Week (36 Hours)
Shift Times: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Hourly Rate: Up to $42.90 per hour
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) - PCU/IMC to provide high-quality nursing care during the night shift. The RN will be responsible for managing patient care, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with established policies and regulations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical skills, a commitment to patient safety, and the ability to take on leadership roles such as Charge Nurse when necessary. This position requires working three 12-hour night shifts per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive patient care in accordance with nursing standards and regulations
- Oversee and manage patient care activities, including assessments, treatments, and documentation
- Serve as a Charge Nurse when required, ensuring professional nursing practice across the team
- Adhere to all policies, procedures, and safety regulations to ensure patient well-being
- Collaborate with physicians, staff, and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated care
- Demonstrate leadership and professionalism in managing assigned nursing staff
- Maintain patient records and ensure accurate documentation of patient care
Requirements:
- Minimum: Associates Degree or Diploma in Nursing
- Valid New Mexico Nursing license or New Mexico compact license (must be obtained within 90 days of hire)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- ACLS and/or PALS certification may be required based on the hiring department's needs
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing
- Two (2) years of experience in a nursing specialty
- Two (2) years of general nursing experience
